Steven & Catherine Are Engaged!

I received a call midday last Sunday from Steven Johnson to photograph his proposal to his girlfriend, Catherine, later that evening. I met with their friend Lily in Virginia Beach where she setup Steven's custom flotation device. He placed some of Catherine's favorite flowers inside of a basket along with a bag that was holding the engagement ring. Lily and I waited on the beach, hidden of course, as they walked down with Catherine's dog. As they approached the floating basket Steven began to pull on the string attached to the flotation device. When it hit the shore, he grabbed the bag and pulled out the ring. The rest is now history. It was very creative and nothing short of adorable.  I wish the Future Mr. & Mrs. Johnson the best!
