 The grand opening for CTC was on Thursday. Virginia Beach City Officials gathered with a large variety of owners and managers of other CTCs from around the east coast. Everyone is very excited about the new location and expansion into Virginia.

 I received a call midday last Sunday from Steven Johnson to photograph his proposal to his girlfriend, Catherine, later that evening. I met with their friend Lily in Virginia Beach where she setup Steven's custom flotation device. He placed some of Catherine's favorite flowers inside of a basket along with a bag that was holding the engagement ring. Lily and I waited on the beach, hidden of course, as they walked down with Catherine's dog. As they approached the floating basket Steven began to pull on the string attached to the flotation device. When it hit the shore, he grabbed the bag and pulled out the ring. The rest is now history. It was very creative and nothing short of adorable. I wish the Future Mr. & Mrs. Johnson the best!
 I had the pleasure of photographing the Soon-To-Be Mr. & Mrs. Ford in Williamsburg yesterday. The shoot started out at the gorgeous Crim Dell Bridge then the final shoots were done next to an opening to the creek that runs below it. Enjoy.
 Notice anything new? www.RachelTrautmann.com just received a little bit of a face lift! I decided with the new move to Virginia that maybe the website needed to be updated. The layout has completely changed with a menu that is a little more simple to navigate through. There are still menu selections undergoing changes, as of today, but the wedding and portrait pages have all been updated. The pages are a little less cluttered with a smaller photo selection. They also have custom headers on each page to display a quick preview of what I love to do! I hope you enjoy the more direct choices and larger image displays!
